Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries and account balances are accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights for budgeting and strategic planning.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and expense reports.
- Collaborate with the operations team to streamline financial processes across our Missouri and North Carolina branches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
