Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and tax planning strategies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and collections.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to ensure financial compliance and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial forecasting and budgeting support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
