Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory for this immediate hire role.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
