Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure data integrity.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are paid and revenue is collected promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and provide financial insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
