Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Perform accurate month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience is preferred.
- CPA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory for consideration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.
- Demonstrated experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
