Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, including sales and use tax.
- Perform variance analysis and provide detailed reporting to management on financial performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, GAAP, and federal regulations.
- Process accounts payable and receivable invoices efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
