Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity accounting systems with 100% accuracy
- Prepare complex financial statements including balance sheets, P&L reports, and cash flow analyses
- Oversee payroll processing for 50+ employees and contractor payments
- Manage sales/use tax compliance and quarterly filings
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with CPA firm during annual audits
- Train junior accounting staff on financial software
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with multi-entity systems
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience with agricultural or energy industry accounting
- Expert knowledge of California sales/use tax regulations
- Ability to manage deadlines for multiple stakeholders
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
