Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with attention to GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Process payroll for multiple client entities using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and journal entries
- Conduct variance analysis between budgeted and actual financial performance
- Support tax preparation and compliance documentation requirements
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial data integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience in contract/temporary roles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP/PivotTables), and accounting software
- Strong understanding of sales/use tax regulations for Texas businesses
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail with proven accuracy in financial reporting
- Reliable transportation for on-site client visits (2-3 weekly)
