Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements with detailed variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and industry-specific financial reporting standards
- Process payroll and maintain accurate employee records using ADP/QuickBooks platforms
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements for financial controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and expense management
- Support tax preparation processes and maintain organized documentation for audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced formulas/pivot tables), and ERP systems
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environment
- Professional communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience with daily pay systems or alternative compensation models preferred
