Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of borrower financial statements, credit reports, and tax returns to assess creditworthiness and risk levels.
- Monitor and review existing portfolio accounts to identify early warning signs of delinquency or financial distress.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and recommendation reports for underwriting approval, including financial modeling and ratio analysis.
- Collaborate with the sales and lending teams to determine appropriate credit limits and terms for new and renewal loan applications.
- Update and maintain accurate credit records in the company's CRM and loan origination systems.
- Assist in the development and refinement of internal credit policies and risk assessment methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the credit industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and financial software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Certification such as CCRA or CAM is a plus but not required.
