Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis and risk assessment on loan applications and credit requests.
- Review credit reports, financial statements, and collateral documentation to determine creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for lending committees.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios to identify early signs of delinquency or risk.
- Collaborate with the sales and loan origination teams to provide credit recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state lending regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and financial software (e.g., FICO, Encompass).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
