Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate and commercial loan applications to evaluate credit risk.
- Review and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and methodologies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approval or rejection.
- Monitor existing accounts for signs of financial distress and recommend proactive measures.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to ensure consistent credit standards across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting the lending environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial underwriting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with loan origination software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings to senior management.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or CAM) is a plus.
