Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and business performance data to assess borrower risk and creditworthiness.
- Prepare and maintain detailed credit files, including spreadsheets and documentation for loan committees.
- Monitor existing accounts for early warning signs of financial distress or changes in credit risk.
- Collaborate with the underwriting and sales teams to provide accurate credit recommendations and support business development.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and internal lending regulations and policies.
- Generate and present regular credit risk reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions and pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus but not required.
