What You'll Do
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of applicants and maintaining our portfolio's health.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and borrower profiles to determine risk levels.
- Assess and score loan applications to ensure compliance with company credit policies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approval or denial.
- Monitor existing accounts to identify early warning signs of delinquency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM and loan management systems.
- Collaborate with the underwriting and sales teams to streamline the lending process.
- Stay current with industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis or a related financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and credit software (e.g., FICO, Experian).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess a high level of integrity.
