The Role
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, performing risk assessments, and maintaining a high standard of accuracy in our reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize risk exposure.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for loan committees.
- Monitor existing accounts for early warning signs of financial distress.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to resolve complex credit issues.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development of financial models and forecasting tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial underwriting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Experience with financial analysis software and ERPs (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
