Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and issue monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with payroll processing to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax documents, ensuring full compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and bank accounts monthly.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account inquiries and financial status updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional client site visits.
