Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and correctly.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure balances match and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculations for hourly and salaried employees.
- Tax Preparation Assistance: Gather necessary documentation and assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings.
- System Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to manage client accounts efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Pro and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure high accuracy in all financial data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
