Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analysis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track and analyze financial data.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online/ProDesktop preferred) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
