Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in our accounting software.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Weekly Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation of payroll documentation to ensure timely and accurate weekly disbursements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements for management review.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, categorize transactions, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Tax Preparation Assistance: Gather necessary documents and assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks or Xero (Sage experience is a plus).
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; high school diploma equivalent required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and maintain organized records.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
