Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare financial statements and quarterly tax documentation
- Implement and optimize bookkeeping software systems
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual tax preparation
- Train staff on financial procedures and software usage
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Knowledge of Maryland tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
