Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and approval before payment.
- Maintain and update the accounts payable general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly payment batches and manage the check run or ACH process.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding billing and payment status.
- Assist in month-end close procedures and financial reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or NetSuite) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with vendors.
