Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process and reconcile weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in our accounting software.
- Communicate financial results and insights to management to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the Sacramento area.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to identify errors in financial data.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional client meetings.
