Responsibilities
- Perform daily and weekly general ledger reconciliations for various accounts, including bank statements and credit cards.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and variance analysis.
- Conduct internal audits of financial records to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Manage payroll processing for the weekend workforce, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents and reports as required by local and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
