Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile client financial records using QuickBooks Online and proprietary accounting software
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 15-20 clients including tax filings and compliance documentation
- Generate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance analysis
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations for 30+ client portfolios
- Prepare sales tax returns and assist with quarterly/annual tax documentation
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies and fraud
- Collaborate with senior accountants during month-end closes and audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Valid North Carolina CPA license or equivalent certification (CPA, CMA, EA)
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines with 99.9% accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills for client-facing financial consultations
- Weekend availability with flexibility to cover occasional weekday overflow
