Responsibilities
- Perform accurate monthly and weekly bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Manage bank and credit card reconciliations with a high level of precision.
- Process payroll and ensure tax filings are completed accurately for the weekend period.
- Prepare and generate financial reports and statements for clients.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax documents.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account status and discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with weekend availability.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
