Responsibilities
- Weekly Reconciliation: Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple client accounts to ensure all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and collecting payments, with a focus on weekend deadlines.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and general ledger reports for review by senior management.
- Data Entry & Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring all documentation is filed correctly and audit-ready.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of weekly payroll batches for select clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes adhere to GAAP standards and relevant local regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate finance setting.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and familiarity with payroll systems (ADP, Gusto).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (40 hours per week).
