In this role, you will manage the critical financial operations of our clients during the weekend. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and accurate.
- AP/AR Management: Process accounts payable invoices and follow up on accounts receivable collections.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by posting and verifying transactions, including journal entries.
- Reporting: Prepare and generate weekly financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Payroll: Assist in processing payroll for weekend staff and contractors.
- Bookkeeping: Code and file invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to GAAP and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage software.
- Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.
