Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements weekly
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and manage vendor communications
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with quarterly audits
- Utilize Xero and QuickBooks for real-time financial data management
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Support month-end closing procedures during weekend shifts
- Collaborate with senior accountants for strategic financial insights
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounts management
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and MS Excel (advanced functions)
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of UK VAT and PAYE procedures
