Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, specifically during the weekend hours.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process and post journal entries to the general ledger accurately and on time.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll documentation and tax filings as needed for the upcoming week.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal staff regarding financial inquiries and status updates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a part-time or weekend capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax laws.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without direct supervision.
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday (or specific weekend shift as required).
