Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize financial records, both digital and hard copies.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and basic payroll processing.
- Assist in preparing sales tax returns and quarterly filings under supervision.
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve billing inquiries.
- Identify and assist in the correction of errors in financial data entry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- No prior bookkeeping experience is necessary; we value attitude and aptitude over history.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Basic computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is preferred).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
