Responsibilities
- Weekend Close Cycle: Oversee the entire financial closing process, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to ensure month-end accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices and payments with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring all vendor and client accounts are up to date.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for the weekend workforce, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate filing systems for tax documents and financial records in compliance with GAAP standards.
- System Management: Maintain and update our financial management software, including QuickBooks and Excel spreadsheets.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, specifically in a high-volume finance environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Pro and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with tax laws, payroll regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Schedule: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
