The Role
In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance during critical closing periods. Your expertise will directly impact our financial health and reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-week reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and statements.
- Process payroll and manage accounts payable/receivable transactions for the weekend shift.
- Conduct audits of financial documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documents and government reports.
- Collaborate with the full-time finance team to resolve discrepancies and optimize financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with weekend availability.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
