Responsibilities
- Execute daily bank reconciliations and general ledger entries to ensure accurate weekend closing.
- Prepare and analyze preliminary financial statements and variance reports for management review.
- Process payroll adjustments and vendor payments for the upcoming week.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entry postings and account verification.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems to ensure compliance and accessibility.
- Communicate effectively with the weekday accounting team regarding account discrepancies and status updates.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in complex data sets.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
