In this pivotal position, you will ensure the financial health of the organization by managing critical accounting functions during our off-peak hours. You will be the backbone of our weekend operations, ensuring that data integrity is maintained for the upcoming business week.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily bookkeeping tasks, specifically focusing on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries on weekends.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post adjusting entries and monthly financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and tax documentation.
- Maintain and organize physical and digital financial records to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with the full-time finance team to transition reports and resolve pending issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the weekend shift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
