Responsibilities
- Execute weekend month-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Prepare weekend financial reports and variance analyses for senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls
- Coordinate with weekday accounting team for continuity and process optimization
- Manage weekend payroll processing for hourly staff
- Assist with weekend tax document preparation and filing support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience with month-end close exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial controls
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on weekends
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- CPA or active CPA candidate preferred
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance a plus
