Metro Accounting Group is expanding its operations and seeking a highly skilled Weekend Accountant to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our financial integrity by managing end-of-period closings and ensuring accurate reporting during off-hours operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute high-volume month-end and year-end closing procedures during weekend shifts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger entries.
- Process and audit accounts payable and receivable transactions for accuracy.
- Prepare detailed financial statements, variance analyses, and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and company policies.
- Assist the full-time finance team with special projects and data integrity checks.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
