Responsibilities
- Execute daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze weekly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all weekend transactions are captured and classified correctly.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports and reconciliations for the weekend period.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification is a plus, but not strictly required for this role.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
