Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the end-of-week closing procedures, including the preparation of trial balances and financial statements.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance for multiple accounts.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely settlements.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to maintain accurate digital records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in general accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
