Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, focusing on weekend closing activities.
- Process weekly payroll and ensure accurate disbursement of accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, trial balances, and variance reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Perform bank reconciliations and internal audits to ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow management and budget preparation.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during weekend hours.
