Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable and receivable, specifically for the weekend period.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual audits by providing detailed documentation and reports.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
- Collaborate with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and streamline weekend reporting procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proven experience working in a weekend shift environment or familiarity with high-volume weekend reporting cycles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
