As a Weekend Accountant, you will bridge the gap between our weekend operations and our full-time finance department, ensuring that all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with GAAP standards. Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and general ledger entries to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment scheduling.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and internal audits.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documentation and records.
- Collaborate with the management team to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a focus on weekend shifts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekends.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
