Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the end-of-week financial closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts with precision and timeliness.
- Process and verify high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze weekly financial reports, variance analyses, and operational summaries.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, GAAP standards, and company financial policies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual audits with external auditors.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve discrepancies and optimize weekend workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for candidates open to or experienced in weekend shifts.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a significant plus.
