As a Weekend Accountant, you will take ownership of critical financial operations during our weekend shifts. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, a collaborative environment, and the flexibility to focus on high-impact accounting tasks without the Monday through Friday rush.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage petty cash accounts.
- Process and post weekly journal entries to ensure accurate ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and tax documentation.
- Review and approve incoming invoices for payment accuracy.
- Ensure all accounting procedures strictly comply with GAAP standards.
- Communicate effectively with the full-time accounting staff regarding weekend discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (1 year in a weekend shift environment preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday.
- Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
