Responsibilities
- Manage and process weekly payroll processing and reconciliation for a diverse client portfolio.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, with a primary focus on weekend execution.
- Review and reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and financial reports to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and financial audits.
- Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, GAAP, and company financial policies.
- Provide support to the accounting team during high-volume periods by managing journal entries and accruals.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) to generate and analyze financial data.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with specific experience in weekend accounting or payroll processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and accounting software platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be available to work weekends (typically Saturday and Sunday) during core business hours.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
