Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes during the weekend shift to ensure financial statements are ready for Monday release.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts with high accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and budget comparisons.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and external audit schedules.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and inventory valuation records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 2-4 years of experience in general accounting, with specific experience in a weekend closing role preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines without direct supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be available to work every weekend.
