What You Will Do:
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing procedures specifically for weekend operations.
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and analysis for executive leadership.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing to ensure timely payments.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documentation.
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly and quarterly financial closing procedures on weekends.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax documents and audit schedules.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for financial documentation.
- Collaborate with the week-day accounting team to ensure seamless operational flow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during weekend shifts.
