The Role:
We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a structured environment and possesses a keen eye for detail. As our Weekend Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fiscal health and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for the weekend period.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements for review by senior management.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Prepare and file necessary tax documentation and regulatory reports as required.
- Assist in the month-end close process by providing timely and accurate financial data.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first team environment.
