Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly and quarterly accounting cycles including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee weekend processing of accounts payable/receivable transactions with zero-error tolerance
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and variance analysis
- Maintain digital financial records using Xero and QuickBooks with audit-ready accuracy
- Support internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with weekday team members for seamless financial operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in UK accounting with practical GAAP knowledge
- ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and MS Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables)
- Proven track record of weekend shift reliability and time management
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to spot discrepancies in complex data
- Strong problem-solving skills for financial anomaly resolution
- Experience with multi-currency transactions preferred
