Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, credit reports, and cash flow projections to evaluate borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for commercial and industrial loan applications
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential credit deterioration
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal credit solutions for diverse clients
- Stay current on industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit risk management
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Present credit recommendations to credit committees with clear, data-driven rationale
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, credit risk frameworks, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in complex financial data review
- Proven ability to communicate credit risks clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Sageworks, or equivalent)
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB, or similar) highly desirable
