Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with multi-currency transactions
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow projections
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles with vendor/client relationship management
- Manage sales tax filings across multiple Washington jurisdictions and ensure compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes with journal entries and accrual adjustments
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online/Enterprise workflows for 15+ clients
- Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation with external accounting firms
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-state operations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Enterprise and Excel (PivotTables/VLOOKUP)
- CPA or equivalent certification (e.g., CB) strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success with sales tax compliance in Washington state
- Experience managing financial operations for 15+ concurrent clients
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to 4+ decimal accuracy
- Ability to prioritize urgent deadlines while maintaining 100% compliance
- Proactive communication style for client-facing financial reporting
